Norman G. Hearst, M.P.H., M.D. is a family medicine specialist. Dr. Hearst has a special interest in HIV and AIDS epidemiology and prevention, expanding research capacity in developing countries and international health.
In addition to treating patients, Hearst is director of the UCSF Family Medicine Research Fellowship and a professor in the UCSF Department of Family and Community Medicine. Hearst received a medical degree and training in clinical epidemiology from UCSF, completed a residency in family practice at UCSF Fresno, and received a master’s in public health from UC Berkeley.
