Film Distribution & Translation License Agreement

Family Watch International Third Party Documentary Distribution & Translation Licensing Agreement

This License Agreement is made effective between Family Watch International (hereafter FWI) and the signee named below(hereafter the signee) as of the date of submission. Both parties do hereby agree to the terms and conditions of this Licensing agreement as outlined below as it pertains to individual/organization requesting to translate, post online, or otherwise distribute the FWI documentary noted in this agreement.

1. Distribution, Posting & Reproduction

By submitting this agreement I/we agree to adhere to the following guidelines for distributing a FWI documentary:

1.1. To distribute, post, and/or reproduce the FWI documentary listed in section 3.1 of this agreement in its entirety only.

1.2. To refrain from making any edits or changes to FWI’s documentary without prior written permission.

1.3. To distribute the FWI documentary listed below strictly for non-commercial purposes.

1.4. To only charge the actual cost of duplication and distribution of the documentary (if distributing by DVD.)

1.5. To clearly credit Family Watch International as the producer of the documentary and provide a visible link directly under the documentary where posted online stating in the translated language:

“To view this and other documentaries by Family Watch International online visit www.FamilyWatchInternational.org

1.6. To print on all DVD labels (if distributing by DVD) the following in the translated language:

“To view this or other documentaries produced by Family Watch International go to www.FamilyWatchInternational.org

1.7. To provide FWI with link(s) to all online postings of the documentary.

2. Translations: Dubbing, Subtitles & Voice-over

By submitting this agreement I/we agree to adhere to the following guidelines for translating FWI documentary:

2.1. Translate, dub and/or add subtitles to the original documentary English script (provided by FWI) for the FWI documentary listed in section 3.1 of this agreement. 2.2. Ensure the original English documentary script has been translated into the target language/s by an qualified individual, fluent in English and the target translation language/s; and to provide the following translator/s documentation at the end of the script:

2.2.1.1. Date the translation was completed.

2.2.1.2. Name of individual providing the translation/s.

2.2.1.3. Contact information of the individual providing the translation/s.

2.3. Ensure the translated documentary script has been verified by an qualified individual, fluent in English and the target translation language/s; and to provide the following verifying documentation at the end of the translated script:

2.3.1.1. Date the translation was verified.

2.3.1.2. Name of individual verifying the translation/s is correct.

2.3.1.3. Contact information of the individual verifying the translation/s is correct.

2.4. A screen or subtitle appears at the beginning of the video stating that the video has been translated from English with permission from Family Watch International.

2.5. To ensure that the original English audio can be clearly heard at normal volume for at least 5 seconds before the translated voice-over begins.

2.6. To ensure that the original English audio can be heard in the background at an appropriate volume that does not interfere with the clarity of the translated voice-over audio.

2.7. A screen or subtitle at the end of the video should be included that identifies in English and in the translated language stating the name of the individual or organization providing the translation and their contact information.

This screen or subtitle should also state that “Family Watch International does not certify the accuracy of the translation” and any suggestions or questions about the translation should be directed to the individual/organization which has done the translation.

2.8. To submit to FWI the following for approval before distributing:

2.8.1.1. The translated documentary script/s.

2.8.1.2. Provide a final digital copy of each translated documentary that will be made available by FWI as a resource link to the original documentary on the Family Watch International website(s).
